Subject: TV Show: The Wire

A few days ago, I was checking TV.com to see if there are series out there worth watching. While looking over the list of golden globe awards, I saw a HBO show called The Wire. I didn't know what to expect, but this kind of TV was certainly new for me. For an American TV show, the slow pace is very unusual. Having watched mostly US TV shows, it took a few episodes to appreciate it myself.

The show is about a crew of misfit police officers who band together when they try to lock up drug dealers. The characters grow on and you find yourself rooting for people you wouldn't expect. Bubs’ is one of my favorite underdogs. He's a drug addict gambling to stay on his feat and helping the police from time to time after one of his friends get put into the hospital by the people that he buys drugs off.
