Populous 3D Windows XP Installer Fix

The game Populous 3D by Bullfrog (now property of EA Games) was a revolutionary game back when it was first released. This is the game that made the God Game genre popular. Populous created the groundwork for great games like Black & White for example. One of the things that made Populous 3D to great was that advanced terraforming spells could change the landscape you play in.

EA/DICE re-released this popular game a while back, but messed up the installer, which caused the game not to install properly on Windows XP (and later Windows versions). I have created a custom installer to solve this problem.

Not Working! (Reply) Created on 13-07-2011 at 06:15 by ciderapple
The download link for this installer does not work. it gives this messege "OtherError" on the web page that it links to. I tried both google chrome and standard internet explorer thinking it might be a browser problem, but both return the same page error.

Dear CiderApple,
I'm sorry, when updating the website, I forgot to move some files around.
If you'll retry, you'll notice that they work now.
My sincerest appologies,
Nick Kusters.
